Carrie Myers New Office Manager

Carrie Myers has joined the Cabarrus Arts Council staff as the new Office Manager, replacing Jill Irvin.

Myers is co-founder and president of the Cabarrus High School Playmakers, and is an accomplished musician.  A former member of the arts council Board of Directors, she sings in Concord ’s First Presbyterian Church’s choir.

An Ohio native who has lived in Cabarrus County for five years, Myers holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Ohio State University .  She is married to Earl Myers, a physician, and has two teenage children, Meredith and Jordan.

Her background in nursing prepared her for the fast pace of the arts council office.  Following several weeks on the arts council staff, she remarked, “ this reminds me of my position as head nurse in the cardiac step-down unit when I was on my feet all day long with no lunch break!”

Jill Irvin resigned from the Cabarrus Arts Council staff following four years of outstanding service.  She was recognized for her significant contributions to the arts council and to the community at the January meeting of the arts council board of directors.  She has joined her husband, Frank Irvin, in his expanding financial planning business.
