Arts Council Hosts Regional Meetings

The Cabarrus Arts Council recently hosted two regional meetings and a Cabarrus Art Guild painting workshop at its wonderful new offices in the historic Cabarrus courthouse.

On March 2, ARTS North Carolina presented a workshop Why Diversify? Learning and Serving Our Whole Communities.  The attendees and presenters included representatives from Raleigh, Greensboro and Statesville as well as local members of the Piedmont Choral Society and Cabarrus Art Guild.  The next day, painter Sterling Edwards began a three-day workshop sponsored by the Cabarrus Art Guild.  The following week, the arts council hosted the Regional Artist Grant Executive Directors from the arts councils in Charlotte, Gastonia, Albemarle, Salisbury, Rutherfordton, Lexington and others.
