Corporate Fund Drive Halfway to Goal
Marie Kluttz is a busy woman these days. She and her husband, Richard, stay busy with their professional framing at Frames and Art By Kluttz, and with the many community efforts that they support. Marie multiplied her commitments when she graciously agreed to serve as the chairperson of the Cabarrus Arts Council’s 2005-06 corporate fund drive.
With a goal of $74,500, Marie launched the campaign with enthusiasm, and charged her committee with her own dedication, “I just want you to know that I ALWAYS achieve my goal, and you are going to help me do that.”
Joining the arts council board in July, Marie has supported the council’s fund drive for five years through Frames and Art contributions. She is a professional photographer and as such has a keen interest in art and an understanding of the many benefits a community reaps from a strong arts council. “Even before I joined the arts council board I was very aware of its activities, but I had no idea how many of our community’s wonderful programs are sponsored by the council or the vast number of people that the council serves.”
With a deadline of January 10, Marie is well on her way to achieving the corporate goal – pledges and donations of $35,000 have already been committed.
