Students Take pART in the ARTs!
The arts council's curriculum-related performing arts program for every school in the county included teacher workshops and study guides.

Art Enrichment
200 volunteers took classic works of art into every elementary school, teaching our children about art and artists.

After-School Presentations
After-school programs at the Cabarrus Boys and Girls Club, the Kannapolis YMCA and the Western Cabarrus YMCA were enriched with performers from arts council school programs.

Pops in the Park
Over 14,000 people attended symphony concerts at Frank Liske Park and Village Park, featuring the North Carolina Symphony and the Charlotte Symphony.

Public Art
The council serves as a resource for the community to create art in public places, such as the award-winning Windows on Cabarrus in downtown Concord.

Professional Performances
The arts council presented three public performances at the Cannon Memorial Library.

Quarterly Newsletter
The council publishes a quarterly newsletter that promotes arts events and organizations. It is distributed to 84,000 homes annually.

Library Performances for Children
The council presented Obakunle Akinlana in performance at each of the county's public libraries.
Union Street Live!
The arts council co-sponsored these popular concerts every third Thursday, May through September on the lawn of Concord's historic courthouse. 10,000 people attended.

Coca-Cola Concert Series
The arts council co-sponsored this new concert series in Village Park in Kannapolis, drawing 6,300 audience members to five concerts.
